Why Everyone Should Have at Least One Backpacking Holiday In Their Life

It's a familiar sight that surely we have all seen at one time or another.  A couple of backpackers casually strolling along the road, perhaps trying to thumb a lift, or maybe just enjoying the walk to their next means of transport or accommodation.

Perhaps you found yourself asking, 'Why would anyone want to spend their vacation time hauling a heavy bag on their shoulders, using public transport and sleeping in way too many different beds?'  Before you dismiss the idea, take a moment to consider the following four reasons.  You will learn why everyone, including you, should have at least one backpacking holiday in their life.

You'll Learn Something New

Backpacking not only gives you the opportunity to learn about a new country from the inside out, but to learn something about ourselves too.  Sharing a backpacking vacation with that special someone in your life or a couple of your greatest pals will give you enough laugh-out-loud memories to keep a smile on your face for many years to come.

It Teaches You to Have Fun

Life can be all too serious for all too much of the time!  We can often end up taking ourselves too seriously, feeling uptight about everything and not having a moment to even stop and look at the roses, let alone smell them!  A backpacking vacation is guaranteed to awaken that inner child in you!

It's a Life Experience

No amount of books, resort holidays, romantic city breaks or luxury cruises can give you the pure and unadulterated life experience that backpacking offers.  Think about it, when you're at a party whose stories thrill you?  Is it the people who have just returned from a package holiday, or who have just finished reading the latest 'Top 100 World Destinations book?  Or is it the person who thrills listeners with tales of their backpacking travels?  From hitch-hiking mishaps, to cities that were like mazes, and from the crazy friendships made along the way to those unexpected moments that took their breath away.  Yes, a backpacking holiday gives your life experience a dash of fun, colour and surprise.

Gives You Chance to Take Control

Most vacation offers are predictable and very controlled.  Whether it be a resort holiday, a package trip or a cruise - where you stay, how long you stay and sometimes even what you eat and drink are already predetermined.

The same cannot be said for backpacking travel!  Those humble backpackers that you may have felt sorry for as they strolled up the road actually have a lot more control than most people!  They are deciding where they want to go, when they want to go and for how long they want to stay.

So are you tempted to consider a backpacking holiday for your next vacation time?  Remember absolutely everyone should have at least one backpacking holiday in their life, you'll make memories that you are guaranteed never to forget!

How To Save Money Traveling In Japan

When most people consider traveling around Japan, they think they need to save thousands of dollars. It’s true that Japan is one of the most expensive countries in the world, but that does not mean you have to spend a fortune to travel around. True, if you want to spend your time in the nicest hotels and eat the finest foods, then you will have to spend some money, but that is true anywhere in the world. There are many ways to travel in Japan on a budget. The following are some helpful tips for saving your money in the land of the rising sun.

Tip 1: Get A JR Rail Pass For Your Trip

JR (Japan Railways) is the leading public transportation country throughout Japan. Foreigners traveling on a tourist’s visa can get what is called a JR rail pass. This pass allows you to travel on any (yes, any!) JR train for absolutely free. The only exceptions are the fastest bullet trains. And even though a pass for one month is in the hundreds of dollars, it’s still a huge savings if you plan on traveling throughout the country, or just using the train a lot. You have to purchase your pass before you head over to Japan however, and then get it verified in that country, so make sure you get it ahead of time.

Tip 2: Stay In Hostels And Guest Houses

Staying in hotels is one of the surest ways to spend too much money in Japan. Instead, consider staying in any of the wonderful hostels or guest houses in the places you want to stay. Guest houses usually rent by the month, and Japan’s hostels are known for their cleanliness and safety. Most staff also speak a plethora of languages.

Tip 3: Eat In Out Of The Way Restaurants

If you don’t want to eat fast food or cook for yourself (both great ways to save money on food in Japan) then you want to hit up the Mom and Pop Cafes sprinkled throughout towns and cities. These usually serve basic foods for low prices. You get a tasty, filling meal for less than the price of a cup of coffee. You can’t beat that!

Tip 4: Attend Free Events And Locations

It can be difficult finding things to do in Japan for free, but many historical sites and events can be attended for little to no money. Many also offer couple’s and group rates so go with some friends to save more money.

As you can see, it’s perfectly sensible and possible to travel on a tight budget in Japan. With a little know-how and a lot pre-planning, you can enjoy the wonders of Japan without going hungry or not having a place to sleep. You can even travel the whole country on a fair price. There’s no reason to not go out right now and book your tickets (months in advance, of course!) for the adventure of a lifetime.

Getting The Most Of A Travel Agent

The the popularity of the internet, many people are turning to websites to help them book their travel and hotel reservations. While it is possible that you can organize and book a trip by yourself online, there is nothing quite as beneficial as having a qualified and experienced travel agent help you with any and all of your needs. Basically speaking, a travel agent is a specialist in the field of travel and destination. Since they have all of the contacts and access to reservations at their fingertips, they can easily help you make all of your arrangements.

In order to pick just the right travel agent, there are a few things that you might want to take into consideration. For instance, it is important that you recognize whatever your travel needs may be so that you can clearly convey them to the agent. Not only that, but you can make a smart list of all of the questions that you may have when it comes to your potential travel plans or any options that may be available to you.

Gather a listing of the potential travel agents within your local area, broken down by full service or basic packages depending on your needs. Once you compile a list, make certain that any of the agents that you are considering is fully licensed and qualified to take on your travel plans. When you deal with a fully certified travel agent, you can walk away with the peace of mind that all of your plans and accommodations will be taken into careful consideration.

If you already have friends or relatives that have used a particular travel agent or agency, you may want to see if they can give you some sort of recommendation. This word of mouth can be quite valuable, especially if you are able to consider information given to you by people that you know and trust. If they had a good experience, then the chances are much higher that you will also have an equally as good if not great experience.

Of course, it is imperative that you deal with a travel agent that is going to be able to meet all of the necessary deadlines. Depending on your business trip, honeymoon plans or vacation needs, you will want to make sure that everything is set far in advance and you have everything complete when it is due. A dependable and experienced travel agency will be able to put together an itinerary that is easy to read and follow from the minute that you start your trip right down to the last minute when it is over with.

All in all, you are going to see that hiring a travel agent is one of the best ways to plan your air travel or hotel accommodations for whatever trip you may be considering. When you have them help you book all of your trip from start to finish you will really be able to get most out of all that a qualified travel agency has to offer.

Have you ever traveled to disney world?

Well if you have traveled there you know how magical it might be. For you and your young child. Pretty much the only thing I can remember from my young childhood was our families first and only trip to Disney world.

This is because things that simply amuse you will forever stick in your young child's mind. He may not remember his first everything but the chances of him remembering you taking him on his first ride! In this magical setting how could you not.

It will also give you time to escape with your children without the distraction of work. Its important to play with your children when their young and they haven't realized that your a loser yet.  Trust me running a thousand miles away from work to spend time with your children is worth it and they will thank you. I mean it will keep them from becoming resentful of you. This will come in handy when your old and you need them to take care of you.

Travel is very importent for expanding the minds of children. It is important for them to become more worldly at a young age.  With todays competitive universities you must keep them on the cutting edge of the game. This can be done through allowing them to see new places. Even if these places and pretty much based us imaginary ones like Disney world.

You should let them transform themselves into a new world were friendly loony tunes are running  around ready to shake your hand and offer you an autograph with a friendly squeeze.

I know it may not seem economically sensible right now to just get up and leave. But you need to do it for your family. Sometimes having fun will help you relax so you will be more energized at work. It will also give you plenty of stories to tell your co workers when you get back! They will be so jealous and of course they will demand to borrow your mickey mouse hat.

You also get some much needed relaxation with other less kid friendly vacations. Try planing a nice trip to the beach sometime without the family. A relaxing Margarita by the beach might be all you need right now. Cancun or the Bahamas its your choice. All you need to do right now is talk to a travel agent to book your trip today.

You might also want to try a staycation. You can do this with a simple above ground swimming pool when money is tight. Or when things are better you could try taking out a loan to build a built in pool for you or your family. It will make it so you guys don't have to go away to have fun together.

Whatever you decide to do just remember that taking time for yourself in the summer is important. Just please don't get to carried away. But always make sure you and your family are having fun.
