The Home Improvement Show


The show Home Improvement was one of the most watched shows in America from 1991-1999. It was a sitcom baste on a tool man and his cable TV show. His television partner Al was his side-kick who took the brunt of all of Tim's jokes. This show started the real home improvements craze across America.

Home Improvements showed how a cable TV tool man would teach his audience about home improvements only to have them sometimes blow up in his face. He tried to make his improvements so much of what he thought a man would like and so super charged up, they failed. He was always doing things to upset his wife played by Patricia Heaton. And he would have to get advice from his wise neighbor (Wilson) played by Earl Hindman. His character was never really shown until the last show.

The television show Home Improvements was a hilarious show that launched the TV career of several stars. One is Tim Allen himself, Pamela Anderson, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Richard Karn, and Zachary Ty Bryan. Tim Allen has stared in many movies since Home Improvements: Joe Somebody and Jungle to Jungle and he was Buzz Light Year in Disney's Toy Story, among others. Pamela Anderson became a huge star on TV. She is most famous for Bay Watch. Jonathan Taylor Thomas has stared in many movies such as Man of The House and he has done many voice over’s for movies such as The Lion King. Richard Karn has become very famous hosting game shows and doing commercials.

Home Improvements was the start of many real life home improvement shows. Some very popular one’s were This Old House, TLC's Trading Space's, HGTV and DIY has put out many popular home improvement shows: Love It Or List It, Property Brothers, I Hate My Kitchen, I Hate My Bath, and even some reality shows based on home improvements such as the one Vanilla Ice stars in.

Because all of these shows based on home improvements, stores like Home Depot, Lowe's, Stine's and other home improvement stores have become extremely popular. Watching someone else paint or improve a home in some way has made millions of people believe that they can be like their favorite home improvement stars. People have really taken to the home improvement craze. If you want to know how to fix something in your home, not only have home improvement shows become popular, but so have magazines and books. The show Home Improvements has launched more popular DIY shows than they probably ever thought it would.

When this show was created they probably thought that they might have a sitcom on their hands, but it has turned out to be bigger than anyone could have expected. Because of this hilarious sitcom about home improvements, many TV and movie careers have been launched. Due to the popular thinking that a person can do their own home improvements, more and more reality shows are being created constantly.
